A side job is not a given for every young person.

The mission!

Brickworkz offers young people with challenges, such as ADHD or Autism, a regular side job. Because we believe everyone is entitled to that. So that every young person can learn the skills you need at an adult job.

The societal challenge

In the Netherlands, there is a large group of young people between the ages of 13 and 21 with challenges such as autism, ADHD and giftedness. This group often gets stuck in everyday life, leading to a sheltered and isolated existence, with little chance of regular side jobs and social contacts. This prevents them from developing their social and work-related skills normally.

Doordat deze jongeren beperkte ontwikkelkansen hebben missen ze vaak essentiële vaardigheden voor op de arbeidsmarkt. Hierdoor krijgt ongeveer 70% van deze doelgroep, na meerdere mislukte (bij)banen, te maken met werkloosheid, depressie en isolement in hun volwassen leven. De gevolgen zijn dus vaak groot, zowel financieel als sociaal.

Before these young people can return to full participation in society, long-term, specialized care is usually needed, which can cost municipalities a lot of money per person per year.

Who is Brickworkz

Brickworkz is een stichting die zich richt op het ondersteunen van jongeren met een uitdaging en om hen succesvol te laten deelnemen aan de arbeidsmarkt. Wij streven naar een inclusieve samenleving waarin alle jongeren, ongeacht de uitdagingen die zij ondervinden, de kans krijgen om zich te ontwikkelen via een betaalde bijbaan.

Our mission is to guide young people to take responsibility for their own development and careers. We provide customized guidance, helping young people develop the skills and self-confidence needed to make independent choices and be successful in the job market. Brickworkz collaborates with companies and organizations to create more opportunities for these young people and spread our way of working as the new norm.

Through personal mentoring, social awareness and the sharing of success stories, Brickworkz strives for a future where inclusiveness and personal development are natural for everyone. Together, we are building a better future where a side job does come naturally to every young person.
