The societal challenge\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the Netherlands, there is a large group of young people between the ages of 13 and 21 with challenges such as autism, ADHD and giftedness. This group often gets stuck in everyday life, leading to a sheltered and isolated existence, with little chance of regular side jobs and social contacts. This prevents them from developing their social and work-related skills normally.<\/p>

Because these young people have limited development opportunities, they often lack essential skills for the job market. As a result, approximately 70% of this demographic face unemployment, depression, and isolation in their adult lives after multiple failed attempts at part-time or temporary jobs.<\/span> The consequences are therefore often significant, both financially and socially.<\/p>

Before these young people can return to full participation in society, long-term, specialized care is usually needed, which can cost municipalities a lot of money per person per year.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Who is Brickworkz<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Brickworkz is a foundation that focuses on supporting young people with challenges and helping them successfully participate in the job market. We strive for an inclusive society in which all young people, regardless of the challenges they experience, are given the opportunity to develop themselves through paid part-time jobs.<\/p>

Our mission is to guide young people to take responsibility for their own development and careers. We provide customized guidance, helping young people develop the skills and self-confidence needed to make independent choices and be successful in the job market. Brickworkz collaborates with companies and organizations to create more opportunities for these young people and spread our way of working as the new norm.<\/p>

Through personal mentoring, social awareness and the sharing of success stories, Brickworkz strives for a future where inclusiveness and personal development are natural for everyone.
